Chazar is a city whose king was Parathon. Neighboring kings and their armies fled to the city of Chazar when the sons of Jacob approached. The sons of Jacob pursued them to the gate of the city of Chazar and smote about four thousand men. Jacob slew Parathon king of Chazar at the gate of the city.
