Gilead
Gilead is a land that Jacob reached after crossing the river with his wives, children, and possessions. Laban pursued Jacob and overtook him in the mountain of Gilead. Jacob and Laban swore that neither would cross the mountain of Gilead to the other with evil purpose. The land of Gilead was formerly called the land of the Rephaim, where giants were born.
