Pithom is a city in Egypt built as a strong city for Pharaoh along with Raamses. Taskmasters afflicted the people with slavery as they built it and all the walls and fortifications which had fallen in the cities of Egypt. It was previously unfortified against battle and the king commanded that it be built and fortified for battle.
