Gad
Gad is a son of Jacob born to Zilpah, the handmaid of Leah. Leah named him Gad after Zilpah conceived and bare him on the twelfth of the eighth month. He is listed among the sons of Jacob, went with him into Egypt, and fathered sons named Ziphion, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Areli, and Arodi. Gad also went forth with Judah and Naphtali and fifty servants and slew all they found before them on the south side of a tower.
