The Ends of the Earth
Enoch's guided journeys repeatedly bring him to the uttermost limits of the created world, regions beyond ordinary human experience where the architecture of reality becomes visible. In 1 Enoch chapters 17-36, the patriarch traverses these boundary zones accompanied by archangels, witnessing the foundations of the earth, the pillars of heaven, the storehouses of winds and waters, and the gates through which the luminaries pass. These locations are not merely geographical but cosmological, revealing the divine infrastructure that sustains all natural phenomena. The descriptions emphasize both the beauty and the terror of these regions: fragrant mountains reserved for the righteous, burning valleys prepared for the condemned, and crystalline structures surrounding the divine throne. Within the Enochian worldview, reaching the ends of the earth signifies access to ultimate truths about cosmic order and divine justice.
