Jashub
Jashub was the king of Tapnach who learned that two young men had destroyed the city of Shechem. He sent messengers to confirm the report and they returned saying the city was ruined with only weeping women left and all flocks taken by the sons of Jacob. Amazed that two men could do this, Jashub urged his people to fight the Hebrews and consulted his counsellors, who warned that he could not prevail alone.
