Manasseh
Manasseh was a son of Joseph born in Egypt to Asenath (also called Osnath), daughter of Potiphar priest of Heliopolis, along with his brother Ephraim, before Joseph's father came into Egypt. Joseph was thirty-four years old when he begat them. Manasseh remained with Joseph when others fled and saw the strength of Simeon, becoming exceedingly wroth. Joseph later commanded his son Manasseh to gather all the inhabitants of Egypt and the valiant men.
