2 Enoch, commonly called the Book of the Secrets of Enoch or Slavonic Enoch, is an ancient text that survives chiefly in Old Church Slavonic and recounts the patriarch Enoch's ascent through the heavens. It opens with Enoch, aged 365, visited by two immense angels who carry him upward through seven heavens, where he beholds the storehouses of snow and dew, the angels governing the stars, the torments prepared for the wicked, and the paradise readied for the righteous (Book Overview - The Book of the Secrets of Enoch (overview)).

In the seventh heaven he stands before the face of God, who dictates the secrets of creation; Enoch then writes 366 books containing these revelations. Afterward he returns to earth for thirty days to instruct his sons before being taken up forever.
