Arpachshad
Arpachshad was a son of Shem born two years after the flood. He took as wife Rasu'eja, daughter of Susan and granddaughter of Elam, who bore him a son. The third portion of land fell to him, consisting of the region of the Chaldees east of the Euphrates bordering the Red Sea and nearby desert waters. Madai later begged a dwelling portion from him along with Ham and Asshur.
