Phicol

Portrait of Phicol

Phicol is the prefect or captain of the host of Abimelech king of the Philistines. He was present with Abimelech and Ahuzzath when an oath was sworn and the place was called the Well of the Oath. He came with Abimelech and others to eat and drink at Abraham's feast, and later accompanied Abimelech with men to speak with Abraham and make a covenant in Beersheba before returning to the land of the Philistines.
