Reu was the son of Peleg and Lomna the daughter of Sina'ar. He took a wife named Ora the daughter of Ur the son of Kesed, and she bare him a son. Reu died in the seventy-eighth year of the life of Abram after living two hundred and thirty-nine years, and he was the father of Serug.
