Achan
Achan was the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, son of Judah. He dealt treacherously by taking of the accursed thing and hiding it in his tent, which kindled the anger of the Lord against Israel. When the tribe of Judah was taken by lot and Joshua questioned him, Achan admitted he coveted and took a goodly garment of Shinar, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight. Men then retrieved the items from Achan's tent and brought them to Joshua.
