Adonizedek
Adonizedek was king of Jerusalem and the same was Shem. He went out with his men to meet Abram and his people with bread and wine, and they remained together in the valley of Melech. Adonizedek blessed Abram, who gave him a tenth from the spoil of his enemies, for Adonizedek was a priest before God. Later Adonizedek king of Jerusalem heard all that the children of Israel had done to Jericho and to Ai and sent to other kings.
